The problem it solves

A painter stands in a stairwell with a tape measure and a phone. By the time he is back in the truck the quote is a photograph of a notepad, and by Friday it is a number he half remembers. Every tool sold to him assumes he will type it all in again at a desk he does not sit at.

What it does instead

He sketches the job on site. Measurements drawn on the sketch set the quantities, and the line items reprice themselves from his own price book. The customer picks options and signs on their own phone before he leaves. The approved quote becomes a job on the crew’s calendar, the finished job becomes an invoice in one step, and the paid invoice closes itself.

Eleven trades ship with a starter price book — painting, roofing, fence and deck, flooring, concrete, remodels. The owner edits every price in it, because nobody else knows what their crew costs.

The parts that were hard

Dynamic quoting. The sketch is the input, not a decoration attached to one. Quantities flow from drawn geometry into the price book and back out as line items, and the whole thing has to stay legible on a phone held in one hand in bad light.

The phone layer. A business number, two-way texting, a shared inbox, missed-call text-backs, and a receptionist that books appointments and logs leads when nobody picks up. For a two-person crew the missed call is the lost job.

Letting other agents in. BizForge ships an MCP server, so a contractor can point their own AI tooling at their own account and have it work there. Access is held by API keys that are read-only or full, never ambient.

Who pays the processor. The business always pays Stripe’s fees. Never the customer, never quietly absorbed somewhere it would resurface as a surprise.

What it will not do

The AI assistant answers from live business records and drafts messages. It cannot send anything to a customer and it cannot move money without the owner pressing the button. That is a design position, not a limitation waiting to be removed.

The BizForge assistant answering a question from live business records.
The assistant answers from the business's own records and drafts messages. It cannot send one, and it cannot move money. The owner presses the button or it does not happen.
An invoice created from a finished job, with a pay-now button.
A finished job becomes an invoice in one step, with card and ACH on the same button. The business pays the processing fee, never the customer.
